On January 5, 2024, Houston Life producer Javana Vela brought the Dash Gordon Foundation’s story to KPRC2, and the timing was fitting. The Foundation had just completed its first full year of operation, and the community it had built was already hard to miss.

Timothy Glover had grown up in foster care before being adopted at age nine. That personal history shaped his understanding of what it means to be overlooked, and it drives his relentless commitment to making sure the people in his Foundation’s orbit never feel that way. When his wife fell ill in 2022, the two of them started DoorDashing together. Timothy started wearing the superhero costume. The Dash Gordon persona caught on. And from that unexpected foundation, something real was built.

Houston Life showcased the work Tim had done in the Foundation’s first year: parties, events, and a pageant designed to uplift and honor the special needs community in the greater Houston area. These were not just charitable gestures. They were celebrations, designed to communicate clearly that every person in the room belonged there and was worth showing up for.

The Dash Gordon Foundation makes that point again and again, through every event it hosts and every program it runs. The people it serves are not defined by their challenges. They are defined by their courage, their creativity, and the full lives they are living right now.
