By the time FOX 26 Houston reporter Chelsea Edwards came looking for Dash Gordon in early January 2023, the story had already spread well beyond one neighborhood Facebook group.

Timothy Glover, the League City man who had started showing up to DoorDash deliveries in a superhero costume the previous year, had expanded his mission. He built the Dash Gordon persona originally to encourage connection and brighten the experience for every customer who opened their door. That spark grew into something larger: a movement to help others, with a particular focus on making the holiday season brighter for local children with special needs.

FOX 26’s January 3 segment, titled “Dash Gordon delivering food with a side of smiles,” captured that momentum in real time. Chelsea Edwards and the FOX 26 team highlighted how Glover had taken what started as a creative spin on food delivery and transformed it into genuine community outreach. The costume was still part of it. But the work had become about something much bigger than tips or social media attention.

The segment aired just weeks before the Dash Gordon Foundation officially launched in February 2023. Looking back, it reads like a preview of what was coming: sold-out winter formals, a recurring beauty pageant, a growing heroes market where every vendor is a person with a disability, and a team of community supporters who believe every person deserves to feel celebrated.

Dash Gordon was not going away. He was just getting started.
